Accessibility
Last updated 10 September 2026
This site aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a target, held to by testing rather than asserted.
What is in place
- A skip link, real landmarks, and headings that run in order without gaps.
- Every control is a real control. The mobile menu is a checkbox and a label, not a scripted div, so it works with a keyboard and is announced correctly.
- Visible focus outlines everywhere, at three pixels, never removed.
- Every form field has a bound label. Errors come back as text a screen reader reads, on a page of their own, not as colour alone.
- Text contrast measured against the rendered pixels rather than assumed, including text over photographs, where automated tools report nothing at all.
- Images carry descriptive alternative text. Purely decorative background photographs carry empty alt text so they are skipped.
- Motion is limited to small hover transitions, and
prefers-reduced-motionturns them off. - The page works with JavaScript disabled, including the signup form, because the site ships no application JavaScript at all.
- Layout reflows to a single column and stays free of horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel viewport, and survives 200 percent zoom.
How it is tested
Automated checks with axe-core across every page and state, a Content Security Policy conformance pass in a real browser, keyboard-only walkthroughs, and contrast measured from screenshots. Automated testing catches a minority of barriers, so the reports below matter more than the tooling.
Known limits
- Links to Instagram, Facebook and Google Maps lead to third-party services whose accessibility is outside this site's control.
- The restaurant's full menu is not published here yet, so menu details have to be had by phone.
